A note on how we work together

Prothes and Shreyasi are also married. That partnership carries directly into how the studio runs — two independent, hands-on perspectives on every technical decision, shared accountability for what ships, and work divided by skill set rather than by seniority. Angkan is Prothes's own younger brother — which makes him Shreyasi's Brother-in-law — so the trust that holds the founding partnership together extends naturally to the person keeping every release stable after launch. It's part of why PSBM Labs operates without account managers or a hierarchy in between: the people building and maintaining the product are also the people who trust each other most to call out a problem early.

How the lab started

From individual freelance work to a shared studio

Both founders spent years building websites and apps independently before combining that work under one name.

2020

Independent web design work begins

Both founders started freelance web design and development work separately, taking on small business and portfolio sites.

2022

Move into software development

Work expanded from websites into full software builds — custom backends, admin systems, and the first mobile app projects.

2023–2024

Retail, agriculture, and finance products ship

Setu POS, Krishi Bazar, and Notun Khata went live, each solving a specific problem for small businesses in and around Barisal.

2025–2026

PSBM Labs formed

The two practices combined under a single studio name, PSBM Labs, formalizing joint work on logistics, education, healthcare, and app-focused projects like Text Studio.
